I thought this needed a section on its own for a number of reasons. The main reason is because it's a huge problem within the ProBoards community.

Advertising outright on most forums is not allowed, but people still use this method as a way of attempting to gain members. One member has taken it upon themselves to advertise their forum here by way of PM, which will not be tolerated, just like on most other forums. Links in signatures however are welcomed here, so please don't hesitate to do that if you have your own forum or website.

Firstly, if you ever receive a PM from another member advertising their forum you're welcome to inform a member of staff, and this member will be banned as this form of advertising is considered as spam. Spammers wouldn't want people stealing their members, so why should they have the right to steal yours?

Of course you're welcome to ignore spammers if you wish, but if you want to take action please feel free to do so.
